Background:
Coach Dunn was born and raised in Midland, Texas where he graduated from Midland Classical Academy in 2006. He went on to play basketball at Midland College for two years and was a part of the 2006-2007 national championship team as a redshirt and the regional championship team his redshirt freshman year. Dunn then went on to play 3 seasons for the Texas Tech Red Raiders from 2008-2011. Coach Dunn is very blessed to have an amazing and beautiful wife Micah (13 years) and four children: Cooper (8), Jon Walter II (6), Lillie Kate (4), and T-Mac (2). This will be coach Dunn’s 6th season coaching with the Knights.

Interesting Facts:
  1. Coach Dunn is the worship leader at MBC and during the ‘17-‘18 season developed vocal nodules due to… yelling too much. He now attempts to keep his yelling to a minimum
  2. Coach Dunn owns a production media company whose goal is to change the culture through uplifting and traditionalist messages.
  3. Coach Dunn scored 16 points in the record setting 167 points for the Red Raiders in 2008, shattering the previous record of 128 points set in 1994 against Texas.
